The premises-based machine definition
The statute defines gambling through value risked on a future contingent event for a possible return. Its consideration language also examines items supplied with purchases when the goods do not justify their price or machine play induces the transaction. That brings the purpose of a purchase into view.
The specific sweepstakes definition concerns operator-furnished gambling machines in the described establishment. Removing the premises element would broaden the wording beyond what the source says. Keeping it does not, however, create an affirmative permission for every remote dual-currency game.

Charitable games operate under a separate chapter
RSA 287-D provides the licensed charitable-games framework. A charitable authorization needs to be checked for its holder, game and permitted setting; it is not a transferable commercial internet-casino license. Similar game names do not make the frameworks interchangeable.
This guide does not infer operator-specific New Hampshire approval from national admission terms. It instead distinguishes the general gambling definition, the particular machine provision and charitable gaming. That separation lets the reader inspect the source without being given an unsupported local signup ranking.
New Hampshire questions
Why retain the establishment wording?
It is part of the statute’s specific sweepstakes definition. A summary relating that provision to websites should not silently replace operator-furnished machines at an affiliated establishment with every consumer device.
Does that limit prove remote coin casinos are permitted?
No such approval follows from the wording alone. Other statutory questions remain, and the separate charitable-games chapter does not automatically authorize an unrelated commercial platform.
